The Star Micronics mC-Connect Drawer (39700000) is a compact hardware adapter that allows you to control standard cash drawers directly from mobile devices, tablets, and desktop computers.
Traditionally, electronic cash drawers must plug into the back of a desktop receipt printer to receive an opening signal. The mC-Connect Drawer removes this dependency. It sits between your point-of-sale (POS) device and your cash drawer, converting wireless or wired data commands into a physical opening trigger.
Equipped with USB-C, Ethernet, Wireless LAN, and Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) 5.0, this single unit adapts to whatever network or device layout your business uses. It works with standard cash drawers that use an RJ-12 (DK) cable, allowing you to update your checkout layout without buying new till drawers.

How It Works
The mC-Connect Drawer operates as an electronic translator between your digital sales platform and your physical cash drawer.
-
Physical Setup: You attach the mC-Connect unit to your cash drawer (using the built-in magnets). You then plug the cash drawer’s standard RJ-12 cable into one of the adapter’s ports.
-
Power Supply: The unit is powered via its USB-C port, drawing power from a mains plug adapter or a powered POS terminal.
-
Data Connection: You pair or link the adapter to your local network or tablet using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an Ethernet cable, or a direct USB-C link.
-
The Trigger: When a operator completes a cash transaction on the POS software, the app sends an opening command over the network. The mC-Connect receives this data packet, verifies the voltage is sufficient, and instantly sends an electrical pulse down the RJ-12 cable to fire the drawer's latch.
