Why Use the OPA-3201 Instead of Built-in Bluetooth?
For many UK businesses, using a dedicated dongle like the 13840 is preferred over a PC's internal Bluetooth. It allows the scanner to be "tethered" to the USB port itself; if the scanner is moved to a different till, the operator simply moves the dongle, and the pairing remains intact without needing to access the computer's system settings.
