The Newland HR23 Dorada is a compact, ergonomic 2D handheld barcode scanner designed for retail point-of-sale, pharmacy counters, ticketing, and administrative office tasks. Fitted with a 640x480 VGA CMOS sensor and Newland's latest decoding software, it captures standard 1D product codes as well as 2D QR codes and Data Matrix symbols—including damaged, low-contrast, or screen-based barcodes.

Built with an IP52 sealing rating and a 1.5-metre drop resistance onto concrete, the HR23 Dorada delivers reliable daily performance. This cabled model range offers flexible connectivity, including long 3.5-metre coiled USB cables, RS232 serial interfaces with power supplies, and an optional smart adjustable stand for hands-free presentation scanning.
